This May, Noah's Landing is celebrating moms. All those feather-faced, scaly tailed, fu- brained moms that call our farm home.
And your mom will get free admission as a result!
On May 7-8, 2011, Noah's Landing is hosting a weekend of family-friendly fun in honor of Mother's Day. Families can tour the farm at their leisure - stopping to hear fun facts and interact with the critters with the help of Noah's Landing guides and dive into kid-friendly activity areas.
Activity stations will include:
- Dig In! Kids can plant a flower and decorate a peat pot for their mom. While supplies last, we will have seedlings for planting supplied by a local nursery. After they run out, kids can plant sunflower seeds!
- Messy Play Zone A space for kids and families to make crafts, get messy, and interact with one another. Bean paintings, finger paint, moon sand, and a scrap pack will make it easy for younger kids to engage.
- Family Fun Spot We're tossing out all of our toys - parachutes, body boppers, hamster wheels, hula hoops, and yard equipment - so kids and parents can cut loose and have fun.
- Dino Dig To celebrate our favorite living "dinosaur," we'll be letting kids make fossil molds and dig for fossils and bones next to Wally the Alligator.
- ZooToo Parlor Get inked! We'll have hand tattoos, hair paint, and other temporary tattoos for kids to get creative.
- Recycled Snakes One of our favorite crafts! We'll have an area set up for kids to turn pipe insulation into their own snake-like friends.
On Saturday, Jenkin's Place in Autryville will offer pony rides and on Sunday, Noah's Landing will welcome raptors from the Wildlife Rescue Center and mules from Jenkin's Place for wagon rides. (An additional fee applies for wagon and pony rides.)
