Looking for a little "staycation" this Labor Day weekend?
Come to Noah's Landing and kick back with local barbecue, local tunes, and a little bit of local wildlife for our annual Blue & 'Cue at the Zoo celebration.
On September 3-4, families can wander the zoo and participate in special activities like a kid-friendly "ZooToo" parlor and a "Handimal" station where kids can turn handprints into artwork. Local bluegrass musicians including "True Friends," the "Tailgaters," and the "Neuse River Ramblers" will be setting up for an impromptu jam session and barbecue plates will be on sale from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m on Saturday and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. . Don't miss the opportunity to meet raptors from the Wildlife Rescue Center in Sanford. Jenkin's Place, in Autryville, will also be offering pony rides on Saturday for an additional fee.
Our Labor Day event is one of the rare weekends that guests can tour the farm on their own time, stopping to hear fun facts from Noah's Landing staff and volunteers, who will be stationed around the farm to help guests feed and touch many of the animals. It's a world of animals at your fingertips!
