Looking for a little "staycation" this Labor Day weekend? Look no further!
This Labor Day, Noah's Landing will be celebrating with a new weekend event, "Blue and 'Cue at the Zoo," combining bluegrass music with mouth-watering barbecue for a weekend of family fun. Families are invited to tour the zoo on their own, stopping to learn more about our animals with the help of volunteers and trained guides. Activities will include:
- Zoolympic Trail: A series of stationed designed to let kids test their skills against the animal kingdom.
- Horse Rides: (Sunday Only!) A local stable will be offering horse rides for kids and adults.
- Bluegrass Music: Local musicians, organized by Donald Clayton, will be holding informal jam sessions throughout the day. Bring your own instrument and join in!
- Crafts: Kids will have a chance to turn old trash into fun crafts at the Recycling Imagination Station.
- Guest Critters: Raptors from the Wildlife Rescue Center will be on display.
- Barbecue Plates: Bring your appetite and help raise money for Noah's Landing by purchasing a barbecue plate. ($7/plate) No admission is necessary to purchase plates.
- Animal enrichment: Kids can dig into this messy activity, learning how to make treats for animals at the home or the zoo.
